22 Minutes Read Leave a Comment

Going on holiday to Cape Town? Here’s what you need to know about the weather, flight tickets, hotels and the places worth seeing.

    Flights to Cape Town

Yes! You have chosen Cape Town as the destination for your upcoming holiday. Now it’ s time for that plane ticket. But which flight do you catch and where do you go for cheap tickets?

    • Good to know: KLM offers direct flights from Amsterdam to Cape Town International Airport. During the ‘KLM Wereldweken’ (end of August/September and end of December/beginning of January) you will be able to book a relatively cheap return ticket (about € 700,-, prices are subject to change).
    • Other options: flights to Cape Town from London (British Airways), Dubai (Emirates), Paris (Air France), Frankfurt or Munich (Lufthansa, South African Airways) or Istanbul (Turkish Airlines).

How long will the flight to Cape Town take?

With a direct flight from Schiphol, Amsterdam, Cape Town is about an eleven-hour flight.

Tip! Read more on safety, valuta and climate and discover all essential travel information about South Africa.

    Hotels in Cape Town

Check! Your ticket is reserved. So now it is time for that hotel, but where do you want to sleep? Good to know: from the V&A Waterfront you can get on the hop-on, hop-off bus, you can sail to Robben Island and in no time you’ll be on the most beautiful beaches. Green Point is a perfect base for this as well. Keep in mind that both districts are somewhat touristy.
